Paganinsm Aand Islam
One day Iqbal asked Moses of the Sinai valley,
Whose foot print has made the Sinai valley blessed,
That Nimrod’s pyre is still ablaze in the
world,
Why thy ancient fire has disappeared from
sight,
The man
of Sinai replied: if thou art Muslim,
Leaving the invisible don’t be a lover of
perceptible god,
If thou
hast liking for perceptible god, thou need eeman
of Abraham,
Otherwise, the attire of thy life is ashen,
If thou art lover of imperceptible God, then
don’t worry,
Wait! Encamping in the valley of Faran,
Transitory is the dignity of infidelity,
majesty of God is perpetual,
This
truth is related to love as soul is related to body,
The flame of Nimrod’s pyre is ablaze in the
times, so what!
The lamp seeks manifestation of itself in the
world,
The
divine light is like fire of stone hidden from itself!
